Latest Updates from Our Project:

Thank you Scrappers!
about 4 years ago – Fri, Feb 07, 2020 at 12:12:45 AM

And so this latest adventure in the world of Nova Aetas Chronicles has come to an end.

It was a longer than expected adventure, not without its pitfalls, but thanks to your support we reached the end in the best possible way.

Every LMS project requires an incredible effort in terms of development time, artistic and economic investments. You are the fuel that feeds the fire of our commitment.

It’s thanks to people like you that these projects are able to see the light.

D.E.I. Just like what happened in the past for Black Rose Wars, the game was passed through the hands of various publishers that chose not to produce it, deeming it too expensive.

Our special thanks to those of you who animated the campaign’s chat:

Frank Calcagno, Oliver, Felice, Flo Jing, ZDarkOne, M4ximus, Gil, Dieter Vlaemynck, Cyrunicorn, Ibero70, barbapere and many many other, you are too much to remember all the names, sorry if we forgot someone.

Thanks to D.E.I, yet another piece of our puzzle is in place.

As always, we’ll keep you up to date on the game’s development, so don’t forget to follow the updates.

And now, as a special thank you, as is our custom we have a small gift for you:

These cards will add a variable to each game turn after the first, making movement, collection or even simply standing on the roofs difficult.

At the start of each turn Tommy will provide a weather forecast for the next turn, allowing you to best prepare.

So it’s goodbye from Tommy and all of Radio Old London, we’ll be in touch soon, stay tuned.

I leave you with an old song and a poster I found in a dump.

And now... a spoiler on something that will see the light next summer...

Industrial Revolution!
about 4 years ago – Thu, Feb 06, 2020 at 08:48:00 PM

Hello, everyone, from your trusted DJ!

In today's broadcast, we are going to browse in the old factories of old London, where a group of very enterprising survivors repaired the machines and started the production of incredible work vehicles! Are you ready to do business with these guys to grab some of these wonders?

The Industrial Market is a new Market that has just opened in the old industrial district of London and will bring a series of novelties to your games of gods!
First of all, as for the Black Market, it is not connected to any Outpost and can be played in addition to all the other markets, thus arriving to have five markets simultaneously in play.

Unlike standard market cards, Industrial cards do not have a cost in resources, but their price is given directly by the slot they occupy on the Market Board. So the more a card remains available on the Market, the more it will cost less, but how much will you be willing to pay to grab your favorite card before the others do it?

9 of the 12 cards that make up this Market are dedicated to the 3 new Mechs, and with the symbol corresponding to a particular Mech will activate it, causing havoc on the streets of Old London!

At the beginning of the game, the Mechs will not be on the field. Still, the first time a player plays a card purchased from the Industrial Market with the mech symbol, he will be able to deploy him in one of the Neutral Refuges and activate it immediately.

As with Drones, all players will be able to activate a Mech using the appropriate card, but the first one to do so will have the advantage of deploying it in the most advantageous position.

Once activated, the Mechs will generally be able to move two Areas, but they will not be able to move freely like the Drones... or at least not all of them!

Hal is the only Mech, who thanks to his legs, can move freely between the Roofs and the Ground. Also, it can target an area 2 regions away from him and move all the resources present in an area toward its position. It will prove to be useful for controlling the field and taking resources away from the opponents!

Ripley will only be able to move on the Ground and only by 1 area and will be able to collect all the Resources of an area at one time and without considering the Majorities. It will be really useful to clean up the areas before the others!

Even Slug will only be able to move on the Ground, but its "bulldozer " effect allows it to cross the Roofs areas, however ending the movement always in a Ground area (this simulates passing buildings by breaking through walls and structures). Also, each time the Slug moves, it can carry up to 4 Scrappers of the faction that activated it.

These are the primary effects, but each of the three cards of a particular Mech will provide him with additional benefits, such as more movement or skill improvements!

What do you think? This Market will provide you with even more tactical choices to prevail in the fight for survival !!

And that's all for this broadcast too! Your Tommy greets you and gives you an appointment for the grand finale!

Animal house!
about 4 years ago – Thu, Feb 06, 2020 at 01:18:16 AM

Hi everyone,

Did you miss me? These past few days I've been busy trying to recover the necessary equipment to leave Old London in search of a very special group, Nikita’s Wild Pack.

There are a number of these.

These groups of animal rights activists have come into contact with creatures worn-out from hunger and have forged a bond of mutual assistance.

Many of these animals have been freed by the Farms and now live in natural locations along the outskirts of major cities such as Old London.

Nikita is a Russian researcher, a former employee of Farm 03.

Having rebelled against the Farm’s experiments, she managed to escape with a well-nourished pack of animals.

But how does this unique faction work?

We’ll start by saying that the wolves cannot build or use constructions.

But given their small size and agility, they can make their way onto the roofs at a cost of 2 movements.

Given they can’t build and have refuges, they start with a “den” token that can be placed anywhere on the playing field except for the areas containing an Outpost and roofs.

Moreover, the wolves can be directly recruited in Nikita’s area.

Nikita has the power to attract all wolves within 2 areas of distance in order to create a majority in her zone or form a group able to move more easily.

This skill can only be used if Nikita is activated in the current phase.

Tolstoj, the polar bear, is not a drone and doesn’t follow the rules.

He starts the game from the den, he counts as 3 scrappers (exactly like Z-13) and if he reaches a zone with a refuge (not the generic ones) he destroys it and recovers a Technology or energy cell, depending on where the refuge is found.

Just like the wolves, he can’t use any constructions and wastes two movement actions (his standard movement) to climb onto roofs.

Tolstoj cannot collect resources except for those received by destroying the refuges.

As always, we pay heed to your requests and have therefore decided to add a new bundle, which includes only the 2 Cash and Rad & Citadel expansions.

This bundle is less discounted with respect to its big brother, but will allow you to save €10 comparatively speaking.

So... let’s wait to see Nikita, in the meantime I think it would be smart not to get any closer.

Those wolves look starving.

Maybe this song will calm them down... ahahaha

All-in!!!
about 4 years ago – Tue, Feb 04, 2020 at 10:04:58 PM

Hi everyone,

Here we finally are with the update dedicated to the game’s last expansion and the Allin bundle.

This expansion adds 4 new tiles to the game with a new T-shape for the buildings.

These tiles must be combined in a specific way at the centre of the table if you wish to play with the Citadel expansion, but can be used in any way in standard games.

In the standard games, these 4 tiles will replace certain tiles so as not to alter the balance of resources and outposts, albeit in different positions.

The Citadel adds a new game mechanic tied to Achab and his Jager.

With each turn, Achab will move around the playing field following the instructions of one of the 16 AI cards. These cards will indicate the action Achab needs to perform, but it will be the player whose turn it is who moves him to the desired zone (based on the available movement for that action).

The card itself includes a description of the Roof zone in which the Jager moves and the zone that will become its target.

Many of Achab’s actions have the secondary effect of moving resources from the zone where he stops to the Citadel, making it essential for players to reach it in order to collect them.

Achab can be used as a Leader of the Purebreds, in which case he will use the Jager as the starting drone.

This expansion also offers the 4 alternative Leaders of the 4 base factions.

This gynoid dates back to the era of the Genesis: she belongs to an alien world and was responsible for the spaceship’s security. Thanks to her nature, she was able to resist the passing of time.

When the catastrophe struck the earth, just like all the others, she was forced to wander around searching for resources in order to survive. She eventually stumbled across the rebellion and the Ravagers.

Thanks to her motorbike, she’s able to move quickly and carry 1 Scrapper with her.

Argyl is one of Aria’s cousins, the son of Pietro’s deceased brother.

Thanks to the technology of Refuge 42, this Leader is able to effortlessly jump from one roof to the other, throwing a rope through a bazooka converted into a grappling hook.

Unfortunately, the fragility of this tool stops Argyl from allowing his Scrappers to cross as well.

Nathan, the "Panda," has a great influence on the city. Whenever an opposing faction wants to buy a card from a market, and some of its members share the gaming area with Nathan, they must pay him a technology to proceed with the purchase. Tactically moved, Nathan will prove to be very strong, especially as the game progresses, in hindering and slowing down the opponents.

Z-07, named Buzz, is one of the few survivors of the new human body development process. He has grown out of all proportion, effectively becoming a giant among his peers. You’ll be hard-pressed finding anyone bold enough to disobey his orders.

Each time Z-07 enters a zone he can remove one of the adversary Scrappers. If he does so he earns one victory point, while the adversary receives one candy boost.

If you have opted for the Leader pledge, this expansion is a must-have.

You can access one of the all-in bundles by simply clicking on your pledge and adding the corresponding amount, in the Meeples or Miniature version.

The all-in package includes the 2 Cash & Rad and Citadel expansions, plus all the sleeves needed to play (including expansions and SGs).

We haven’t included the two mercenaries insofar as some of you grabbed them for free in the previous campaigns or in the first 24 hours.

The artbook and meeples have also been excluded insofar as not everybody wants them.

Thanks to this campaign, the total savings of each pledge is now 50€ for meeple pledges and 65€ for miniature pledges, based on the SGs unlocked until now.

There’s only 49 hours to go until the end of the campaign, now’s the time to push hard across all channels, spread the word!

White Death Day!
about 4 years ago – Tue, Feb 04, 2020 at 09:58:04 PM

Hi everyone,

With this update, we’d like to give you a bit of background on D.E.I.

Some time ago, while digging through the ice, a corporation unearthed the remains of the Genesis (the Sine Tempore heroes’ spaceship).

The corporation initially made use of various parts of the spaceship, such as the energy cells, to create and release highly technological products onto the market.

It quickly achieved very high economic standing on a worldwide scale, thus enjoying unlimited power.

In an attempt to continue exploiting the resources of the Genesis, during the experiments a technical error triggered a glaciation for a new terraforming, which was the primary scope of the Arca spaceship.

In no time at all, the entire northern part of the earth was covered with ice and snow, while a grey sky covered the sun for years.

Most of the population died, while a number of corporate-owned Farms began to search for alternative solutions allowing the human race to survive.

The corporation itself, exploiting its technological knowledge and economic power, built a megalopolis completely isolated from external factors and entirely self-sufficient.

In order to try and understand how to solve the problem, several of the corporation’s scientists gave life to the “Rebirth” project.

The project consisted in attempting to clone the genetic code of some of the crew members in order to gain access to otherwise reserved and inaccessible areas of the spaceship.

Achab, the captain, Alexandra the doctor and Jukas the psionic, were all born again.

...and Andromeda 2.0

Connected to the Genesis’ development machines, they recovered part of their memory, but eventually went their separate ways.

Due to the current situation, Alexandra and Jukus fled the laboratories, strongly condemning the corporation’s policies.

Achab on the other hand married the cause and thanks to his skills and the possibility to access the Genesis’ secrets, quickly paved out a career, eventually earning himself a seat at the directors’ table.

In the following years, the corporation assumed the name of Achab Corporation, and Achab, in addition to attending the directors’ meetings, also became the brains behind the corporation’s military wing.

Due to the glaciation, the planet’s resources were being slowly diminished.

Species, which had always been believed to be merely mythical or fruit of the imagination, began rearing their heads in search of a means of survival.

Achab, who knew the real origin of the creatures, leapt at the chance to blame them for the catastrophe. “The Mythical races triggered White Death Day in order to take over the World” was his claim, which was either supported or contested by various coalitions of survivors; in the meantime, the corporation changed its name and proclaimed itself a nation, whose members are now known as the Purebreds.

Several implications have been studied and explored in the expansions, we hope you’ll enjoy reading them just as much as we’ve enjoyed writing them.

Those of you who have followed our publications from the start will know that the events narrated in our games all rotate around a shared universe, published under the brand of Nova Aetas Chronicles.
